I could not fathom the motives why some people kill without "dignified justification". Some would kill because of self-defense. Some kill for justice sake. But many would kill without apparent reason.
As of this writing, I'll share some of news that disturb my conscience and sanity. A 31 year old doctor for the barrio was shot down while riding his motorbike. He was probably a government scholar while taking medicine course and as part of the contract would be assigned in a rural area for definite number of years to repay the government scholarship. Probably he chose to be assigned in the far flung areas to the poor community because he really loved to served the less of his countrymen. In our country where doctors choose to go abroad to earn dollars, staying behind in the rural community is an extreme sacrifice if not an alright heroism. This doctor was killed with a theory that a simple argument with the killer had caused for his death. This is senseless killing.
Another killing involved a mother of five children. She was holding her baby when gunmen who belonged to Drugs Death Squad barged in her shanty.A gunman took the baby and put on the ground. The mother pleaded for her life because nobody would support the children-- her husband is also hunted by DDS for drug issue. The killer shot her in front of her children while the husband hid on top of the roof. The DDS kills everyday of suspected drug peddlers and users because he earns money from every person he kills according to Amnesty International.This killing is senseless too.
A would be bride was lamenting the other day because her supposed groom was shot dead by a 45 year old casino addict. The would be groom was also an information technology graduate.Because he could not find employment, he drove a tricycle. His would be bride worked abroad to earn money as part of the preparation for the forthcoming wedding. Then came this killer who probably lost money in the casino and drove his car and nearly bumping the tricycle. Argument followed, then he shot dead the would be groom. Now he's hiding and informed authorities that he's willing to surrender. The bride cried so hard. She has nobody to love and marry when she returns home. This killing is senseless.
Bombings in Aleppo were so intense that hundred to thousand civilians died. Opposing ideology and foreign powers sponsor the war. The government brutally kills its own people. The killings that happen is senseless.
Anywhere in the world, senseless killings happen. There are serial killers who just kill for the sake of killings. They're happy to see that they inflict pains to their victims. Psychologists and psychiatrists have explanations for these acts but killings are always taking another's life as if the killer owns the life of his victim. This killer could also explain his action yet he already took away the life of his victim.
The culture of death is already creeping in the world and victimizing a vulnerable prey. Love is absent in the heart of the killer because in his life, he is unwanted because his probably mother tried to abort him. Or when he survives, hate is what he got. He is bullied. Maltreated. Now is the time that he would take revenge. He is angry to the world. He's ready to kill. The result is senseless killings.
