It's New Year!

Happy new year to all! We're filled with hopes that this year 2010--the year of the Tiger would bring real joy and successes to us. We do no dream because dream usually does not happen. We hope because we have faith that what we believe would really happen.
We also pray that problems and disasters of 2009 would not haunt us this 2010. But my friend, as long as we live we have always problems and we can't go away from them as long as we have breath.
We're the makers of our so-called destiny. We only ask and pray for divine guidance from Heaven above and our hopes would be fulfilled. If our prayers are only for our own gratification, most likely they would not be granted. But if we pray good things for others especially to the less of our brethren, usually they would be realized.
Making 2010 fruitful is our decision. We can demand 100% growth of our plans as long as they are attuned to the will of our Divine Master. Remember, we don't live for our own selves but we are part of the entire humanity marching and journeying to the place of eternity.
2010 is a historical year for us Filipinos. We can change our lot for good or we can submerge ourselves and our country to the quagmire of corruption, killings, cheating, apathy, and escapism.
We can be part of change--part of solution or we can be problems ourselves. The choice is yours. We can be catalysts of change or be stumbling blocks 0f change.
We can be active participants or we can be unwilling bystanders.
It's new year! Hoping that your perspectives are new and progressive--for the good of your family, country, and to the less of your brethren.God love us all as long as we're willing and hearing His will to us.

It's Christmas Time!

Thanks to Heaven above, it's Christmas time once more. We always associate this season as a time of plenty and fun especially that we had been conditioned since childhood. We should be thankful to our Creator that He spared us from calamities; and if ever we're not so fortunate, at least we're still alive. (There are many people right now all over the globe that no longer exist today because of various reasons--diseases, war, crime, accident, suicide.)
The actual meaning of Christmas is sharing and spiritual growth. Lord Jesus Christ came to the world to share Himself for our redemption from sins. We should also likewise share ourselves to the less fortunate members of our society either through material things or to extend our time and ourselves to worthy causes.
Usually I observe that it's only during Christmas that we show our charitable nature. After Christmas, we forgot that we have still neighbors who need our time, our ears, our sympathy.
So, let's not forget that our ultimate aim during Christmas is spiritual growth and reflection to the true meaning of existence.
